This page explains what personal information Mavanga collects when you use this website and order from us, how we use it, and your choices. Mavanga is a virtual kitchen in Langata, Nairobi, Kenya.

What we collect

When you order: your name, phone number, delivery address, any notes you add, and the items in your order.

The site has no accounts or sign-up. We do not collect your payment details on this site.

How we use it

We use this information only to prepare your order, deliver it, contact you about it, collect payment on delivery, and keep records of our business.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

How it reaches us

Your order is sent to us through WhatsApp. When you tap the send button, the details you entered open as a message in WhatsApp on your device. Once sent, WhatsApp handles the message under its own privacy policy.

What is stored on your device

To save you typing, the site keeps your cart and the delivery details you enter in your browser on your own device. We cannot see them. Use the Clear button on the order page, or clear your browser data, to remove them.

Other services

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, icons from Simple Icons and photos from Unsplash. Those services may see your IP address and browser details when a page loads. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, pages viewed, referring sites, countries and devices. It does not use cookies or track you across sites.

Payment

You pay on delivery by M-Pesa Paybill. Safaricom processes that payment under its own terms. We see the payment confirmation, not your M-Pesa PIN or account.

How long we keep it

We keep order messages and delivery details for as long as we need them to serve you and keep business records, then delete them.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email hello@mavanga.com or message us on WhatsApp. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya.

We may update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version.
